I keep on trying how I can make the tables different from the other show. None of my show matches the other show technically. Most of the challenges are faced by directors only in terms of how I can make this show different from other shows. What type of challenges do you face in your profession? I did more of the romantic shows like Madhubala and even mythology like Siya Ke Ram and Mahadev. After that show everything became nice and since then I’ve directed almost 40 shows and latest of them is Ziddi Dil Maane Na. I came under him and learnt a lot of things and I assisted him for 5-6 years and he gave me a big break for the show Dil Mil Gaye on Star One. There my boss was Nisar Parwez who is now an actor and producer. At first I was assistant director at Sagar Arts for Hello Dolly serial. Slowly some of them from television started to recognise my talent and I got connected to them. I came in Mumbai around 20-21 years ago, I didn’t know anyone here, at that time there was no media, no digital, we got information only through newspapers so that’s what brought me here.
